Police have launched an investigation following the shocking incident in Longsight on Saturday afternoon. Officers were called to the Slade Lane junction of St Agnes Road at around 3pm after the 34 year old man, who was driving with his four and five year old children, was stopped in traffic by a masked man with a claw hammer. The attacker smashed a window before assaulting the man as his terrified children watched on.
